With the exception of nationals from India, Bangladesh and Maldives; all visitors to Bhutan are required to obtain visa approval prior to arrival in Bhutan, which will be processed by us. You can’t personally apply for tourist Visa yourself. However, the travellers should produce a valid passport with a minimum of 6 month validity. All other tourists must obtain a visa clearance prior to travel to Bhutan. Visas are processed through an online system by the Bhutanese authorized tour operator in Bhutan (like us) on behalf of you. You are required to send the copy of your passport to your tour operator (us) who will then apply for your visa. The visa will be processed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) once the full payment of your holiday (including a USD $40 visa fee) has been wire transferred and received in the TCB bank account. Once received the visa clearance will be processed within 72 working hours. At your point of entry you will be required to show your visa clearance letter, the visa will then be stamped into your passport.

How to get or apply Tourist Visa to Bhutan

1. Book a Bhutan tour package with a licensed travel agency (like us).

2. Confirm air-ticket.

3. Passport with at least 6 months validity months from the date of exit from Bhutan.

4. Clear readable colour copy of passport (page containing passport no and face picture in JPEG or PDF format) at least 20 days prior to date of entry into Bhutan.

5. Provide the information required as listed below:

 A. Full name as per passport
 B. Occupation
 C. Mailing address
D. Contact No. (mobile preferred)
  E. Submit a scanned copy of your passport as per sample

Tourism Council of Bhutan issues visa clearance letter closer to travelling date which we email or fax you or your local travel agent. Travellers are required to produce aforesaid visa clearance copy at the time of entering into Bhutan, they are required to produce this Visa Clearance letter at the Immigration counter. Actual visa is stamped at passport on arrival in Bhutan.

Visa only service is not offered in Bhutan, guests have to buy full service tour package from local tour operator that includes accommodation, guided tours, transfers etc. Visa fee of US$40 is not included in the tour package cost.
